Who we are

Trust Pods is a digitalized word-of-mouth referral platform for local field-service businesses. Technicians refer their customers to trusted partner businesses, often with a built-in discount, delivered as a secure link. Spotting a problem that a customer may otherwise not be aware of adds value for the customer receiving the service, while enhancing the value of the business rendering the service.

Information we collect

• Customer contact details — phone number and/or email provided directly to your technician, or retrieved from their field service software, with your consent to deliver your referral.
• Job details you choose to share — notes and photos describing the work you want an estimate for.
• Referral activity — when you open a referral link, you have the option to act on it and request an estimate. You can then track the status and progress over time.
• Business & technician information — for businesses and technicians using our platform, we collect contact details, company information, and platform usage metrics to operate the service and facilitate introductions.
• Account information (if you create an account) — managed by our authentication provider, Clerk.

How we use it

To deliver your referral link (by text message, email, or QR code), send at most one reminder, connect you with the referred partner business for your estimate, and operate and secure the service. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.

Text messaging & email communications

Communications are sent via SMS or email based on your consent. Typical volume is 1–2 messages per referral. Message and data rates may apply for SMS. Reply STOP to cancel text messages at any time or HELP for help. You may also opt out of emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every referral email. No mobile opt-in data or consent is sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing, promotional, or any other purposes.

Who we share information with

• The partner business you were referred to — but only after you review the message from the referring business representative and explicitly choose to opt in to receive an estimate. Once you act on the referral, your contact details, notes, and photos are shared so that the referred business can prepare your estimate. That is the purpose of the referral from your trusted service provider.
• Service providers that run our platform (hosting, authentication, text delivery, email) — only as needed to provide the service.

We do not sell personal information.

Retention & your choices

Referral records are kept as long as needed to operate and render the service and meet legal obligations. You can opt out of texts at any time (reply STOP), unsubscribe from emails, and you can contact us to ask about or request deletion of your information.
